Just a word of warning guys..had VAM completely lock up and then nuke an SSD drive on me this morning..lost everything....about 600gb worth of VAM stuff....and the drive itself...

3600X and GTX 1060 here, the thing that tanks framerate for me more than anything is hair shading, which is entirely on the GPU. Disabling physics completely will only gain 1-2 fps compared to maxed out physics settings. Even with 3-4 pixel lights I can get 60-90 fps in a scene with two characters, but enabling any kind of complex hair will tank that to 20-30 fps. I wonder if people are confusing their framerate drops as a CPU issue since the in-game performance monitor seems to report hair shading as part of the physics load even though it's 100% GPU-side.

Sorry it surely helps what you are saying but the main problem is CPU, here is explained with great detail, even MeshedVR has explain the problem in technical terms, right now the bottleneck its on the CPU for the UNITY implementation.

This demo is a huge dumpster fire and I am having an issue with audio file locations during packaging. I hope I can fix it and release the demo today.

..yeah was probably 4 years old..and been well used. been trying to recover it all day with no luck at all..it shows in bios but now its called local disk again and unresponsive in Windows. PC has hard time booting now also with it connected..definitely SSD failure.

can you tell the disk spec. (wich model and if you did try to connect it with usb adapter after this problem). This was a very frustrating release. I spend more time on packaging this shit than actually creating it. I cut like %20 of the existing content as well as some animations and an extra sex scene due to them being so fucking inconsistent in other VaMs.
I'll probably switch to less complex things or start over if I can't find a way to fix these stupid errors.
I warn you again, this Demo is a dumpster fire on steroids.
But if you are new to VaM, you can learn lots of retarded tricks by traveling around the backstage.
And I geniunely expect your feedback.

it was a SanDisk SSD Plus 1TB, and yes.. ive tried everything including a usb dongle aside from sending it for data retrieval..which obviously isnt going to happen.lol it's a paperweight now..
