Taraken often finds himself utilizing, discovering or creating powerful artifacts capable of granting their wielders powerful abilities and forms. Taking the time to study these items and how they interact when active is a powerful advantage so he can use them for his own personal use without any dangerous drawbacks. Being a capable magic user and boasting a rather powerful body and mind, he is able to withstand and use many artifacts from his collection without any drawbacks whatsoever, sometimes even enhancing their dormant abilities even further with his own spin of magic involved.
In his free time, he may even opt to sell some of these items to unsuspecting adventurers who come across his shop. Often getting great amusement from when said artifacts do perform as advertised.. but often also come with a hidden catch that he definitely made sure to inform them about when his goods are purchased~
After all that dragon amulet did grant the strength of a dragon... but it might've invited an unsuspecting drawback. It'll wear off in a week~ I'm sure the next town over will be understanding about your party member's interesting situation... Taraken on the other hand seems to be enjoying himself rather nicely wouldn't you say?

I wanted to have some fun and see what Taraken might look like when fully mixed into a dragon hybrid. The scales and details look absolutely amazing and i love every bit of it!
The idea of artefacts granting him new forms definitely makes for fun ideas when coming up with artwork ideas such as this!
